Why a single DCO
One application. Campus and energy centre.
Since 8 January 2026, data centres can be directed into the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project regime. Quest Pit submitted a Section 35 direction request in April 2026, seeking to bring both the data centre campus and its on-site gas generating station into a single Development Consent Order - supported by the Government's designation of data centres as Critical National Infrastructure.
